Before continuing this, could we please have a couple of opinions 
expressed on the topic? (For posteriority, if nothing else.) Some of you 
have already said something positive (or mumbled something negative,) now 
let's get it into the archives. :)

A simple +1, 0 or -1 with reason (the Apache way) should suffice.

Do we want to work for an IETF stamp of approval (presumably in the form 
of an RFC someday) on the TAP specification?
